Colorado Democratic Rep. Jason Crow is set to discuss how Democrats will address the war with Iran after the party’s victories in the 2026 midterm elections. CBS News published the interview on The Takeout on Wednesday, Nov. 4, a day after Crow won reelection.
Democrats are due to take control of Congress next year, according to The Associated Press. The CBS News description says Crow’s interview focuses on the party’s approach to the conflict, but does not detail specific proposals from the lawmaker.
Crow backed a September war powers resolution
Before the election, Crow voted for a House resolution directing the withdrawal of U.S. forces from hostilities with Iran. The measure passed 220-204 on Sept. 15, according to the House Clerk’s voting record.
The Senate rejected a separate Iran war powers resolution on Sept. 24 by a 49-50 vote. Those votes took place before the midterm election and do not establish what steps Democrats will pursue after taking control of Congress.
CBS said Crow, who represents Colorado, joined The Takeout to discuss the issue after his reelection victory. The new Congress is expected to take control next year.
